Those were some good suggestions. I really think that training should be offered on a regular basis. When I worked in IT, I never received any type of training. One of the reasons was probably due to lack of money. I was not given the opportunity to know my department in and out. I felt that those who already knew more than I did were afraid to help me grow because they did not want me to know as much as they did. Our team consisted of four people. If the manager and one of the other employees was out, there were so many issues that the remaining two employees had no knowledge as to how to solve. People are scared of losing their position in a company sometimes and are reluctant to help beginners gain knowledge. One thing I can say about education is that people will help you out as much as possible.
